Travel Fee

At Canine Consultants, we want to help any dog, anywhere. Sometimes, that puts us on the road for hours and limits the number of sessions we can see in a day. For this reason, a travel fee is applied for any distance of 20 miles or greater from 1 Sea St., Quincy, MA.

The travel fee varies by distance. You will be notified if this fee will apply and it will be presented to you before you decide whether or not to book a session.

The basic calculation is as follows; $50 base fee + $1 per one-way mile traveled = Total Travel Fee.

For example, if a client is 25 miles away, the base travel fee of $50 is applied, and an additional $1 for every one-way mile traveled will be applied. So for the client 25 miles away, the travel fee is $75. That’s $50 base fee, and $25 for the milage. Milage is not straight-line distance. Milage is determined using standard GPS routes. Canine Consultants will always chose the route that gets us there in the shortest amount of time, which may not be the shortest distance.
