“We have had such an amazing experience working with Bill. We first met him at the Quincy Animal Shelter while in the process of adopting our dog, Owen. Due to Owen’s past, he struggled with severe anxiety and PTSD and was a highly reactive dog. Bill worked closely with us throughout the adoption process and since to ensure Owen’s success with us.
Our dog pulls towards other dogs on walks, and because of his past, we were hesitant to let him interact with other dogs out of fear that it might trigger reactivity. But with Bill's help we’ve seen him progress a lot and even begin to ignore other dogs on walks.
During sessions Bill has enlisted the help of other familiar dogs so Owen could practice interacting in a safe, controlled environment. Bill helped us recognize subtle cues that indicate when Owen is no longer comfortable, and with his guidance we started better understanding when to step in and how to safely allow Owen to engage with other dogs and knowing when it’s time to pull back.
It’s hard to find a trainer willing to put in the time and effort to get comfortable with a reactive dog like ours and we’ve really appreciated how much Bill truly cares about Owen and his progress. In the past year of working with him he’s gone above and beyond offering help, guidance, and support throughout our journey. We are so grateful for Bill’s continued support and expertise, which have made a huge difference for both Owen and us.”

“I highly recommend Bill for his exceptional dedication, expertise, and compassion in his work with animals and their families. My daughter and I were introduced to Bill in July 2026 after we adopted a five‑year‑old husky named Smokey from the Quincy Animal Shelter. Shortly after bringing Smokey home, we discovered that he struggled with resource‑guarding behaviors and, unfortunately, he bit me on two separate occasions. When I informed the shelter, they immediately connected us with Bill, who volunteers his time and knowledge to support families like ours.
Bill came to our home within a few days and spent extensive time with my daughter, with me, and with Smokey. From the moment he arrived, Bill demonstrated understanding, patience, and a genuine commitment to helping us navigate a very challenging situation. He carefully guided us through different training approaches, showing us how to establish boundaries, reinforce safety, and build trust with Smokey. His calm, reassuring presence made a world of difference during a stressful time.
What has stood out most is Bill’s continued support. Over the months following our initial session, he regularly checked in on Smokey’s progress and has always been willing to assist further whenever needed. His dedication does not end once he leaves your home, he truly cares about the long‑term well‑being of both the animals and the families he helps.
I often send Bill pictures and updates about Smokey, and it brings me great joy to share how far our “best boy” has come. Thanks to Bill’s guidance, Smokey has made extraordinary progress and continues to thrive in our home.
We are deeply grateful for Bill’s kindness, expertise, and ongoing encouragement. Without hesitation, we highly recommend him to anyone in need of knowledgeable and compassionate support with their pet.”
